I don't see this an error at all. Munich betrayal was driven by fear.Obama acts impudently with the rude demagogy, the same as in the case of his support of "democrat" Mursi.The obviouse fact that only the sunctions moved Iran to some talks, Obama declare as the final victory. As the leftist leader he knows that the demagogy is the best fuel for the believers,and others' opinions are not interested.
