Obsequiousness .... a most perspicacious observation ....

how fitting and how low the leadership of Yeshiva and Brandeis Universities have sunk.

Maybe Brandeis and Yeshiva need to brush up on some self-descriptive vocabulary as here provided:

apple-polisher sycophant ingratiating flatterer

ass kisser submissively deferential

bootlick abject servility and devotion.

brown-nose A fawning flatterer, an obsequious sycophant

curry favor To seek to ingratiate one-self with one's superiors by flattery or servile demeanor.
