The subtle feeling of shame is not known to Turks. How many times can one be exposed as a liar and yet come back again and again with the same or a bit modified lie or absurdity as if nothing had happened, as if we were all suffering from amnesia and as if it were the most natural thing in the world ? Or how can one complain without the flush of shame in the face that education is so poor and hostile to critical thinking in Turkey and is "based on medieval rote learning, anachronistic high octane nationalism and religiosity" and yet a few moments later display every single item one has just condemned and use it as a potent "argument" to prove the Turk is - as always - right ? (Turks like all Moslems NEVER admit before giaours they are wrong,) Yet, this happens all the time with Turks who make good their lack of knowledge and education with insolence, vulgarity and threats.
