Reader comment on item: Reflections on Current Hamas-Israel Hostilities

Submitted by myth (Germany), Nov 22, 2012 at 10:14

The number of rockets Hamas fires into Israel these days strikes me as high. It is almost the usual "dose per annum" delivered in a week. Here's my guess. Do Hamas expect a next generation of more effective rockets from one of their suppliers? Are they creating the event of humanitarian aid flowing into Gaza as a reaction to Israeli retaliation? Delivery of humanitarian aid would then provide cover to sneak in new rockets. I imagine a flotilla-2.0 scenario. Are arms being delivered to Syria that Hamas can intercept?
