That's what I would like to know. If a potential motivation (or just happy consequence) for this confrontation is to deplete the accumulating arsenal of fajr-5 long range missiles and other assorted, then it is a valuable operation, given that the Israelis are successfully shooting most of them out of the sky.

Perhaps they are staging a show for Iran to give the message that the extensive smuggling efforts literally evaporate into thin air (watching videos in Israel of Iron Dome at work is an awesome sight)
