Reader comment on item: Two Decades of the Rushdie Rules

Why, indeed, are we catering to such a people that can't keep the peace among themselves, let alone with the rest of the world? I would wager that Islam itself has slaughtered more Muslims, oppressed more Muslims, enslaved more Muslims than any other warring entity since its inception. This fact holds true to this very day.

Why are we yet submitting to such as the United Nations, which seems to be little more than yet another biased, Muslim cause fighting institution, with an Islamic agenda? How many fully realize the gross imbalance of power contained therein?

There's something more going on here than "our" need for "their" oil. We don't need it. Nor do we need Chavez and his nonsense! We have our own. The spill in the Gulf of Mexico proved that well enough. Not to negate the jobs it would create were we to once again produce our own.

Get over yourselves you liberal minded, politically correct, environmentally "obsessed" who dare to believe you can single handedly save the planet as well as herald in global peace! You have not. You cannot. You have done nothing but to put "life" itself at grave risk by helping to empower the very forces that would destroy all that is, and you're too demented to realize it.
