Thank you for your excellent article. When considering the Constitutional rights we enjoy in the U.S. and which are being attacked, that is freedom of speech, the press, exercise of religion, we must not forget a primary Constitional right that is most being violated. The First Amendment starts: "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion...." Those who push a special status for Sharia law are attempting to establish an official religion. An established official religion negates the very next right in the First Amendment: "the free exercise [of religion] therof." Therefore, the fight against imposition of Islam is a fight against an explicit Constitional right we all (including Moslum-Americans) possess, that is, the seperation of church (mosque) and state.
