If an Islamic Center within a certain distance of Ground Zero is inappropriate, then any and all religious centers within that radius need to be banned. To brand Islam and all adherents as terrorists is reminiscent of the anti-Catholic or anti-Jewish hysterias that have swept Europe and the US in the past centuries.
If we create bans like this then America as we knew it is dead. We have killed that outpost of Freedom the world looked to.
This whole nonsense says far more about us then it does about the proponents of the Center.
