since the majority of muslims in the world are not arabs and do not speak read or write arabic. i must conclude, that by your definition, a majority of muslims in the world are "amateur" muslims and do not really understand their own faith. maybe that is why there are so many acts of violence around the world committed by people who claim they are acting in accordance with islamic texts and teachings.
