in response to reader comment: Let's see what the Koran says

Let's make the verses -you have got the translations for-more clear for you for the others
(8.12: When your Lord revealed to the angels: I am with you, therefore make firm those who believe. I will cast terror into the hearts of those who disbelieve. Therefore strike off their heads and strike off every fingertip of them)
Do you know why this verse exists . you say that Quran is prescriptive . how is that while the Quran has the whole true stories of the prophets before our prophet Mohamed .. This verse is explaining one of the stories for our prophet Mohamed ... When God inspires out prophet and asked him to offer Islam and guide his people .. The Kofar{The peoples who disbelieved and worshiped Statues and Idols} Not The people of the book .

The Kofar started to hurt Mohamed and make plots to kill him but at this time he was protected by our god Allah .. Mohamed at this time managed to make alot of people to convert to Islam and when the kofar knew that they just insisted to kill him and all the muslims ...
Notice: Islam has never been spread by the blade of the sword but muslims were forced to fight to protect themselves from the Kofar
Then the kofar gathered an army of a thousand soliders and there was only about three hundered muslims to fight them . So our lord commanded a thousand of the Angels to fight next to muslims in the battlefied and therefore Allah told the angels that he is with them and he will cast terror into the hearts of the Kofar and that's how Mohamed won the battle against the Kofar
So that's not a commandement from Allah to kill innocents

(4.89 : They desire that you should disbelieve as they have disbelieved, so that you might be (all) alike; therefore take not from among them friends until they fly (their homes) in Allah's way; but if they turn back, then seize them and kill them wherever you find them, and take not from among them a friend or a helper.)

This verse in the Quran is apart of another story for our prophet Mohamed about the hypocrites {They said they are muslims and ready to fight the Kofar if they wage a war but when there was a battle they turned their back to the muslims and decided not to fight ..therefore the muslims argued about what they should do to them so this verse came to say that they shouldn't take them as friends or helpers and leave them until they decide to come back to islam and be ready to serve the islam one more time but in this time if they turned their backs again then consider it treason and kill them wherever yo find them.

Notice:Peoples like hypocrites used to make loses in the muslims sides and there is a Sura about them in the Holy Quran {AL TAWBA} number 9

(3:28"Let believers not take for friends and allies infidels instead of believers. Whoever does this shall have no relationship left with Allah—unless you but guard yourselves against them, taking precautions" )
This verse commands the musims not to take the Kofar as friends as it's dangerous to do such a thing because the Kofar wanted all muslims to be killed and they always fight muslims and Islam and I explain again that the Kofar are the people who worshiped Idols and they always tried to kill muslims

And about the Taqiyya... At that time of Islam the Kofar were everywhere and they wanted to Kill muslims and the Kofar were not understanding peoples to the concept that everyone is free to choose his religion (2:256 "Let there be no compulsion in religion: Truth stands out clear from Error: whoever rejects evil and believes in Allah hath grasped the most trustworthy hand-hold, that never breaks. And Allah heareth and knoweth all things." )
so they just wanted to kill muslims for being muslims ... And when Islam first started muslims had to keep their Islam secret not to be killed by the Kofar not to stab them in the back or something like that.

(47:4"When you meet the unbelievers in the battlefield, strike off their heads and, when you have laid them low, bind your captives firmly")
This another vers descriping a battle betwwen the muslims and the Kofar when the Kofar waged this
war on muslims and here Allah commands muslims to fight these Kofar untill they lose their power to fight back and then don't kill them and capture them as prisoners of war.. and this is the same battle in (Quran 4:89)

(9:29"Fight those who believe not in Allah nor the Last Day, nor hold that forbidden which hath been forbidden by Allah and His Messenger, nor acknowledge the religion of Truth, (even if they are) of the People of the Book, until they pay the Jizya with willing submission, and feel themselves subdued")

At this verse Muslims are not told to kill the people of the book but to take Jizya from them and this Jizya is sent to the MoneyHouse to help poor people and serve the countries and we muslims pay this money as Allah make it a duty for us to do so you can consider it like the taxes we pay these days to pay for the food supplies and the hospitals and schools ..etc

So Im just explaining these verses and most of them tells stories about battles between muslims and the Kofar .. So what I just want you to do is to think about Islam as it's not a religion that the devil made us choose it or something but it's areligion from our god just like Judaism or Christianity ... and if you studied the Holy Quran right you would realize the truth .. At least learn more about the scientific miracles of the Holy Quran and the stories of the prophets in the Holy Quran ... and thank you
