Reader comment on item: Obama's Connection to Sirhan Sirhan

Submitted by Rebecca Moulds (United States), Nov 5, 2008 at 00:47

The most troubling aspect of an Obama presidency is the fact that his many lies have been ignored, even though such lies cast a bad light on his character. As his presidency was announced tonight, I felt quite depressed but resigned to four years of "change" in this country. The way Obama is worshiped is also troubling; yes, he is the president, but no, he is not God.

We will see what kind of changes his man brings to our country, whether they will be of the good variety or the bad. He seemed to have risen up suddenly and his opponents didn't have the time to produce enough evidence against him for the Republicans to win. He has mesmerized the populace with charismatic magic, which is usually a sign of great power, but what kind of power? The power to make people believe in him.

Any connections to shady characters have been swept under the carpet for now, but they may come back to haunt him.
