Kudos to YvetteReader comment on item: Red Mosque in Rebellion Submitted by Vijay (United Kingdom), Jul 27, 2007 at 16:43 Thanks to Yvette for sharing her first hand experiences and the state of 'history studies' in Pakistan. Such a kind of 'history studies as In Pakistan which ironically cuts Pakistanis from their own history and heritage leads to the large scale alienation of people escpecially young people from their own heritage, culture, history and society. In this alienation Islamic radicalism, islamic terrorism are accepted as the only hope and a twisted person like Bin laden becomes their hero and model. Pakistani elite has sowed the seeds of their destruction and now they are reaping their deadly crops in the shape of Red Mosque rebellions.
