Reminds me of both MOVE sieges

Reader comment on item: Red Mosque in Rebellion

Submitted by Dan Schwartz (United States), Jul 17, 2007 at 13:02

The Red Mosque siege reminds me of the 1978 Powellton Village and 1985 Osage Avenue MOVE compound sieges... I almost expected Harvey Clarke to give the play-by-play last week on CNN.

Too bad Reverend Wilson Goode isn't the Mayor of Islamabad: It took cojones to ask Gov. Thornburgh to have a State Police chopper drop a bomb onto their rooftop bunker, right next to a 5 gallon gas can!
