RE: What are you saying?Reader comment on item: MPAC, CAIR, and Praising Osama bin Laden Submitted by DONG CHEE (United States), Jun 12, 2007 at 17:09 Mr. Genosis: What does your very POINTED, yet totally non-specific, article attempt to articulate. Which terrorists were we formerly allied with? When we helped the Mujuhedeen in Afghanistan defeat the Communist Soviets---we were not aware that one of their leaders, Osama Bin Laden, would declare war on TheU.S. in 1998. Can you please keep our geopolitical efforts---like our semi-support of Iraq in the Iran/Iraq war in an honest perspective---if only for clarity in a complex issue as we deal with crazy killers who intend to defeat us because we are non-muslim. At a specific time in history we had no argument with Japan, Germany, and Italy. Then, suddenly they attacked us. Lets remember, those crazies, Nazi's, intended to rule planet earth for 1,000-years! Did the USA create that craziness? Hardly. U.S. citizens, it is clear, will not unify until every man woman and child in America are in imminent and sure immediate danger. We are complacent. We believe that if we hate war enough, war will leave us alone. Tell that to the Jewish people who were nearly reduced to non-existence----not for what they were guilty of---rather because they existed! ! I welcome your genuine response to my attempt to challenge your theory. Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes.
