Why do you have to lie?

If Islam is a religion of truth, why do its leaders have to lie so much? From the west we view the Islamists as liars, and yes, murderers. We see how many Muslims are killing other Muslims. The suicide bombers are not martyrs__they are murderers of unsuspecting innocent people. Their leaders are lying to the average Muslim person when they say they stand for truth.
