Understanding Real Intentions Behind Hidden Words

Reader comment on item: MPAC, CAIR, and Praising Osama bin Laden

What we have here is a failure to communicate. We are under an extreme case of propaganda attack, whereby the malefactors of things Americans have found places to sound their voices to vilify the things American in order to justify their world view and reasoning behind the death and destruction against things not conforming to Islam. More than Europe, but less than Israel, we are targets for the obsession that would permit globalization of the world without America in it. It is the underlying premise of the war we fight now; bullets flying over there, words flying over here.

What is misunderstood here is that the al-talib is not really intended for outsider consumption. It is completely understandable that Ms. Lekovic would have felt extremely uncomfortable when put on the spot. Were she in a media controlled environment with full ‘sharia' influences, this embarrassment would not have happened because she would have been protected. But guess what? In the last look-around, this is still America, and freedom of the press won this one; for now.

However, the time is coming where more and more the American way will find itself under more intensive attack, and more voices will raise the levels of antipathy to American things to the breaking point. We know people are listening, but to what avail if we do not press the actions necessary to protect what we have.

For example, when do we, or will we, finally understand the difference between freedom of speech and treason?
