The western nations cannot share the community of nations with Theocracy. The fanatical impulses which produce such tyrannical rule preclude rational government. The Founders of the United States were very much aware of religious-secular issues.
The Islamic state of Iran is the antithesis of Democracy and will never recognise an election which does not validate the rule of the clerics. Theocracy is the great challenge of this century.
One would have assumed the demise of theocracy, a discredited system of government, but unfortunately,it seems to have become the choice of Luddites,Islamists, and tyrants.
