Outstanding balanced articleReader comment on item: After Saddam? Remaking the Mideast Submitted by John S. Morgan (United States), Feb 11, 2003 at 10:39 Outstanding article. It presented both sides of the argument. We should try to democratize Iraq. This needs to be done with humility rather than arrogance. We must also regain positive relations with Islam and the whole of the middle east; we must repent of our past and present behaviors...we should seriously work for a solution with all parties. We should be evenhanded... The outlook is dismal. It looks like our choice is to let the Muslims of the world continue to hate us, to gravitate toward militantism, and continue in their attempt to destroy us. We could turn that around with some honesty and courage but we will not. John S. Morgan Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes.
