About living on war

Dear dfwhite,

You are right about the fact that war generates employment, but have you recently checked which are the richest states in America. Where is the wealth of America is generated. America leads the world in technology. All kinds of new inventions are made in America every day. California has the 10th highest GDP in the world which is greater than most of the countries of the world. The reason being the Silicon Valley and power houses like Stanford University. America has to choose whether to live on money which is earned on spilled blood of innocent people or to be a light and lead the world in innovation and technology. Just as it became a beacon of hope and greatness when it abolished slavery and rose to defend the civilized world in the World War II.

American people are mostly not to blame for what goes on in the high echelons of power, but there is a lot more they can do to stop the current madness. With Democrats in power, American people have shown that they want to live in a peaceful just world and the trend must continue. It could only get better.

As for terrorism, I agree with you. It is a menace which must end. It harms all societies, all people and all humanity. No religion, no ideology can support this, because this is madness. And if we fight together against it, we can win, but we must use not only force but reason as well and gain the moral higher ground.
