Hate begets hate

Well! I am astonished and sickened to the stomach by what was about to be perpetrated in the name of Islam. people who think that Islam is completely unaccepting of other religions and way of thoughts I ask them the question why India even today is predominantly Hindu even when Muslims dominated it with centuries? As for the removal of Buddhist, the Islam in Afghanistan and Pakistan has strong buddhist roots which is referred to as sufism in essence borrows heavily from buddhism. There is no denying the fact that this area was predominantly Buddhist and still after every few kilometers in these countries a Dargah (Islamic equivalent of a Stupa) can be found. So probably buddhism just evolved into Islam in these areas. It is only recently that this extremism has emerged because of the recent events in history. India keeps the largest number of troops per thousand of population in the world in Kashmir. Attrocities are committed everyday. If muslims had done the same for centuries then the population dynamics of India would have been quite different.

Finally the greatest number of suicide attacks ever made in the world are done by Tamil tigers which is predominantly a Hindu organization. So the issue is that we have to induce fair play and treat each other with respect. Mindless hate mongering is not going to solve anything and would marginalize and increase extremists on both sides. Islam is the fastest growing religion in the world, not only because of population but by a large number of conversions as well. In Islam Jews are a people of the book and they are revered and respected. The only place on earth where there is a Synagogue, church and a mosque together is in Istanbul built at the height of Muslim eminence.
