Two Postscripts

Reader comment on item: Tempering Ambitions [in Iraq]

Just 2 afterthoughts:

1) If Bush 41 had taken out Saddam at the end of the Gulf War, when the whole [civilized]world would have understood why we were terminating him, Bush 43 would not have had to deal with Iraq.

2) If Bill Clinton had taken out Bin Laden when he had him in his cross hairs, Bush 43 probably would not have had to deal with 9/11.

W. played the hand he was dealt. It was a very bad hand, and we have no assurance anyone else would have played it better.
