Am I the Only Bush Defender?Reader comment on item: Tempering Ambitions [in Iraq] Submitted by linda (United States), Nov 15, 2006 at 17:02 The scenario was: Post Afghanistan victory -- U.S. still really mad about 9/11 -- Need to get terrorist camps out of Iraq -- Hussein thumbing his nose at UN -- Chemical weapons and reports of more inside Iraq. Has everyone forgotten everything? I'm hardly cavalier about use of troops -- I'm a veteran myself (was in a "semi-combatant" unit by the way). If we'd just gone home pretending Afghanistan was good enough, we'd have been absolutely foolish. I may be his last defender. But I don't care. He was right.
