What Do the Israeli Polls Show about Sharon's Tough Policy

Reader comment on item: To End the [Palestinian] Violence

Submitted by Hyman L.Sall (United States), Jan 7, 2003 at 21:53

I basically agree with the positions you have taken in the last year I have rec'd your reports.

I have read anecdotal evidence of what you have reported here and accept your statements and statistics.

Do the Israelis, under this constant threat, feel their Government is making headway against the terrorists? What are the figures on the Israeli emigration?

I don't offer any solutions or options. I feel, while your statements are factual, I think the headway you envision (winning the war against terroism) is an overstatement. You don't put a timeline, because you can't. I think the tough policy is the only option now. I don't have your optimism this report conveys.
