Since "Muslim" is not a "race," but a religion with a specific ideology, one cannot call it "racial profiling."

I like the concept of "hostile intent" which gets more at the mindset of the individual than would any profiling done strictly on "race." What we witnessed during the Danish cartoon riots was a similar mindset demonstrated among a broad variety of ethnicities.

Call me old-fashioned, but I would prefer not to share a flight with someone who thinks that the Danish cartoonists should be beheaded -- regardless of the color of his skin or the length of his beard.
