Assistant Secretary Burns is no friend of Israel'sReader comment on item: State's Terror Untruths Submitted by Michael Rifkin (United States), May 30, 2002 at 20:19 Regarding his latest trip to the Middle East and specifically Egypt, where this outrage was uttered, Ha'aretz Online reported:"The U.S. envoy arrived in the region earlier in the day and met with Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak. 'The humanitarian problem, the daily humiliations that ordinary Palestinians suffer under occupation are getting worse every day,' Burns told journalists after his meeting with Mubarak." The U.S. State Department continues to foster the untruth regarding "Palestinians . . . under occupation." If Israel has friends like this (and the U.N.), who needs enemies?
