Reader comment on item: State's Terror Untruths
in response to reader comment: Why does the State Dep't ignore Islam's toxic hatred of the West?

Submitted by James (Thailand), Feb 12, 2006 at 12:17

It seems corruption is prevalent. The Islamic civilisation reached it's peak around 400 years ago and the whole world thanks Islam for the great mathmatical achievements and architetural brilliance it has brought to the world as a whole. It was unfortunate that it ended, but it did and as you know it was because of war and corruption. Almighty God had little to do with it. Wars and and corruption are symptoms of human weakness and a lack of faith. Can Islam really rise again and offer an enlightened age of reason, an evolved state of being that will allow humanity to evolve past it's petty greed and fear of things it doesn't understand to replace the west?

With all due respect, I would have to say that I doubt it and I think its about power and ultimately corruption that is fueling all this nonsense.

You are completely ignorant of the fact that most westerners are God fearing decent people who are meak and mild and yet thick skinned(not so diferent to Islamic peoples in that sense). Decent people will not tolerate evil and good will prevail in the east and west. If making an enemy of the west and it's destruction is the ultimate goal then I suggest the methods currently being undertaken be redressed.

It is impossible to destroy western civilisation though terror. It only strengthens its resolve and ultimately causes Islamic peoples to suffer. There is a better way that doesn't involve educating innocent young men and women to hate. Has the thought of embracing the west's achievments and understanding ever crossed the minds of those who hate it so much?
For all the greed, corruption and misery America and Great Britain has brought over the past centuries, it has also brought a great deal of good for all peoples. This cannot be denied.

Why not object to hatred and tell your brothers and sisters the same. The world is too old to have civilisations revolve like they did in the great days of Greece, Rome and Islam. People are completely different. Morality is high in one or two generations and then low in the next. It moves in cycles. There will never be a lasting window of opportunity to bring down modern civilisation because it adapts to survive.

The weapons of war in this day and age have potential to destroy more than just civilisations and ultimately will be used if this current trend of fear and hatred continues. The evil men of this world, if allowed, will destroy all because they have hearts as black as coal and power is their only desire.

If the hatred and ignorance doesn't soon stop, there will be nothing left to inherit on any side and I don't think anyone wants that. It's time for humanity to evolve into a human civilisation built on respect, education and most of all love. This is what will eventually bring down the west and the east and real peace will prevail for eternity for all humanity.

Do you think that the almighty God would find this a favourable solution?
By the way, I'm not a dreamer, just an evolved husband and Father who wants peace on earth for all to enjoy.
Thank you.
