Ruthie Bloom's splended interveiw with Middle East Forum Chairman Daniel Pipes was one of the best I've seen; and it's message should be heeded by all. As a regular commentator to Mr. Pipe's blog site, I appreciate his efforts to tell the world the true meaning of radical Islam's desire to become domenant in many parts of the world, especially in the Middle East.
Americans, as well as Israelis are simply missing the point concerning the meaning of global jihad, which, as Pipes so eloquently points out, is out to make even more inroads in Europe and elsewhere. Americans, while trying hard to plant the seeds of democracy in both Afghanistan and post-Saddam Hussein Iraq, must understand that traditional or classical Isam is simply not a movement that cherishes democratic ideals - especially in respect to women's rights or rights of non-Muslim minorities living within Muslim countries.
With even the present Turkish government trying to covertly introduce more Islamic law and moral codes into that country's so-called secular structure, it will only be a matter of time until Islam will be to dominant force there as well.
As for Israel and the Palestinians, Hamas does have definite plans to spread conservative Islam into both Eqypt and Jordan, as well as Lebanon. What this boils down to is a pan-Islamic nation or Caliphate encompassing these countries and possibly others as well. Israeli leaders, most particularly the present ones, better start reading this message, before it is too late.
