One of the most clear-sighted expositions on this subject that I have yet to read - however the author overlooks the principal and overriding motive for our leaving Gaza and the probable evacuation of most of the West Bank:
This is being done because of the demographic implications and the damage to our own moral hygiene , by living among and necessarily dominating another people who hate our guts. Let the Palestinians think that it was terrorism that forced us out of Gaza and will eject us from other places. This is no reason for not doing what is the right thing in our own eyes.
