Islamic extremists insult Islam, not those who wage war against them

Reader comment on item: Calling Islamism the Enemy
in response to reader comment: The Muslim Perception

Submitted by Dr RJP (United States), Mar 20, 2006 at 20:55

If there is a Muslim anywhere in the world who DOES NOT feel threatened or, at least, willing to recognize that radical Islamists pose a real threat to the entire world, then they are no better than the radicals themselves. In other words, sooner or later (much sooner than later) they are going to have to step forward and publically declare on whose side they are.

If they belong to a religion that prevents them from speaking the truth, and prevents them from stopping unjustified human suffering, then they have an obligation AS HUMAN BEINGS to renounce that religion, even if it means placing themselves at risk.

They need not fear death, because they are already dead.

No...I take that back. They are worse than dead.

Radical Islam is a cancer, and like a cancer, it must be totally eliminated in all its forms beginning with its source: the ideology itself. If we cannot destroy the ideology, then we will have lost the war.
