"If they want an example of how Western values and Islam can be entirely compatible, they should look at what's happened in the past few weeks on the streets of Tunis and Cairo."

??? I am sorry but this statement makes no sense considering what is happening to Coptic Christians in Egypt. The Muslim Brotherhood was kept out of the political system by Mubarak but he allowed them to greatly influence the educational system - much like we in the West allow the socialists to influence our educational system. The vast majority of those calling for Mubarak's ouster are "fundamental Islamacists" not freedom loving, democratic believing, peace promoting, Israel tolerant individualists. No, they are people who follow Mohammed and his confused system of beliefs and they themselves are confused about exactly what their beliefs ultimately mean for themselves and others.
