Reader comment on item: Anti-Muslim Racism?

It is sad that people take everything at face value. I must applaud the individuals seeking understanding. I see extrememists in both religions. My brother-in-law believes that the United States should nuke China, and he is a strong Christian believer. In my opinion He is a bad representation of Christianity and his ignorance was pointed out by me. He listens to talk shows that caters to his political beliefs.

On the other hand I know most Christian people that welcome everybody into friendship. I believe that Muslims are very similar because, just like Christians, they are human. The human race will always have reservists and extremists on any subject, not just religion.

It is a shame that Christians killed non-believers, but that time has passed. Unfortunately some Christians are prejudice from bad experiences and ignorance. I once listened to a Christian tell one of my Catholic friends that he was going to hell. I rearely say this but, that guy is a fool for obvious reasons.

I am a Christian. Christians and Muslims believe in the same god but have different teachings. Even if Muslims believed in a different god, why would I hate them? What gives me the right to hate anybody that believes something I don't like Buddhism, Polytheism, Islam, even Atheists. They don't practice terorrism, Extremists do. It is a shame that The Muslim religion is now fighting itself over in Iraq right now, and their foundation of belief is the same. Muslims are killing Muslims, all because of extremists.
I am just glad to see people are discussing it in a respectful manner.
