why the tax payer should pay for the markaz

i think that the tax payer should pay for part of the construction, we as muslims have little or no funding for our schools, the jews have public money thrown at them for schools,as do the christians, hindus and other faiths. Every other faith has money given to them for schools, places of worship, why not the muslims?

The muslim community has given a great deal back to the community in terms of culture, business experience and other things. Many local muslim busineses have paid paid tax over the years so why not give a little back.
