The Left and Islam

Donald Bales wrote "Don't the extreme leftists realize that they would the first victims of a radical Islamist regime. They, most of the them, are not even People of the Book (not that being so is any protection)."

How true?

Whether it is the US or India or any western democracy, both the left and the Islamists exploit the liberty these states offer to destroy very fabric of these societies -- the fabric that gives the them the freedom to propagte their ideas free of any repercussions. In either society, whether a leftists run or Islamic, they would not have this freedom. The left does not remember what was done to them in Islamic society e.g. Iran, Afghanistan, and neither the Muslim remember what was done to them in purely left run society e.g. USSR.

In spite of all the differences others can co-exist peacefully.
