Dr. Pipes, if the terrorists are so stupid, how is that such a small number of them have turned the world upside down, brought the attention of the entire world on themselves, created enmity among the nations, created unparallel acrimony among citizens within nations, caused nations to refocus on internal security, instigated a war in Afghanistan and Iraq, cost the world billions of dollars with many billions to follow, become the single most important topic of conversation and journalism and turned the world against the USA and Britain and may be the cause of WW3? Evil, cruel, barbaric, inhuman, murderous yes, but stupid, maybe not if that was their goal.
