Misapprehension here

Reader comment on item: Stupid Terrorists
in response to reader comment: Terrorists, idealists, and cronies

The people convicted for the terrorist attacks to date have not been oppressed. Most of them seem to be privileged and well educated from the middle classes. They appear to have been welcomed into the west to share in the culture and wealth. If there is a sense of oppression it surely stems from their own inadequacies and they then lash out. It doesn't help that they are part of as culture of intolerance and 3rd century asttitudes and mores. It doesn't help that they are encouraged by a relogious culture based on tribalsm and hegemonistic ambitions.
