Meanwhile - 4 years after the 9/11 wake up call

Reader comment on item: Stupid Terrorists

Submitted by sully (United States), Oct 4, 2005 at 19:37

We are fortunate in the stupidity of our enemies, as we are generally fortunate in the stupidity of the sort of folks who commit most crimes.

But meanwhile, 4 years after the 9/11 wake up call, we still don't have any sort of effective border control on the Mexican and Canadian borders, and we still don't have a simple and effective system for rounding up folks who overstay their visas or who enter the country under false pretenses.

So which side is the more stupid?

Perhaps after the next big terrorist attack we will get serious about border security.
