asian culture different from middle east cultureReader comment on item: Advice to Non-Muslim Women against Marrying Muslim Men Submitted by tami (Philippines), May 10, 2015 at 02:56 tami im a filipina and i am aware of indonesian culture, although it is the largest muslim country in the world it is more diversified country than the middle east, which means indonesians are open minded than the muslims in middle east, in indonesia you are encouraged to mixed with different people regardless of people so thats explain the different religion in your family, in middle east in egypt particular your family can only be Chistian or Muslim!i am half egyptian and i have 100% egyptian relatives so i can speak based from my experience and years that i stayed in egypt, but you can see i am more closer to my asian culture than the other one, and are you sure that years of struggle with a muslim man will encourage his family to accept a foreign woman? the egyptian culture respect asians more than western women because they assume that asian women are more conservative than western women, it is not right to advice a woman to endure struggle just to please his family because i have seen many western women in egypt who stayed with their muslim husband for 10-15 years hoping their family will accept them!dont only think about your religion, think about the situation of these women first, your culture in indonesia is different from egypt!try to live in egypt first !even one family are all Islam they have a different culture and tradition!and most mothers in egypt want their son to marry egyptian women to preserve their culture and take care of their women!my egyptian relative spent large amount of money for a wedding of one of my male cousin because he married an egyptian girl, if its a foreign woman they will not give even 1 penny!this is the typical egyptian middle class family, there is one egyptian man who asked my father for my hands and he is from aswan but he take back his words when his grandmother expressed her opposition on me, this man is not even my boyfriend and went directly to my father, this is their culture there, its not practice all the time, but the man may go directly to the father of the girl if he want to marry her, needless to say i like the asian culture of my mother because i dont want to marry anyone i dont even know!
