This guy came from a wealthy family, studied law (!), had a law office in Jordan, gives it up and moves to the USA to work unskilled labor jobs?

On the other hand I agree that to be a sleeper one needs an inside strength to keep one's beliefs up while one is leading an ordinary life. Without reading the Quran, having contact with likeminded people, even trying to marry a Christian woman (But then he obviously didn't want to marry in a church), that seems to be too difficult. The strength must have been acquired before he came which seem unlikely to go undetected in arab family life.

With his suicide attack he killed fellow muslims (another sect though) not american soldiers. To go into an hospital to blow oneself up is extra sick, though.

It seems to me that this guy was a bit incoherent in his head and obviously easy to manipulate.
