Most of the people who read and write at www.danielpipes.org are Westerners.
Of course, you might get people from all over the world, but most readers come from Western nations, whether Catholic or Protestant. ... All Western countries share problems such as Political Correctness and the fact that in a Western country you cannot criticize Muslims and Islam. Therefore, in a Western country, it is acceptable for your government to do business with Hezbollah and Hamas, but is not acceptable for ordinary citizens to express their reservations about it.
In the same way, it is not acceptable for ordinary folks to have reservations on immigration or multiculturalism. All these issues seem disconnected, but they are in a broader sense, related to the United States government doing business with Hezbollah and Hamas.
QUESTION: How do we change this Western mentality?
P.S. It seems to me that those who feel like readers at www.danielpipes.org (and that includes myself) represent a minority of the Western population.
