Democracy v Republic

Daniel points out the fallacy that a democracy offers individual freedom, as opposed to providing a means for the majority to dictate to the individual.

The US is also losing the battle for liberty to democracy, which seeks to tyrannically impose its values on all citizens.

A republic, such as envisioned in the original US constitution, offers a much better possibility of true liberty, than does our increasingly dictatorial democracy.
