Dear Dr Pipes, It is said that the best way to win an argument is to be illogical. Our dear Debanjan Banerjee did exactly that.

I will quote Banerjee verbatim: I have been hearing in this particular forum for so many years that Islam is intolerant towards dissenters. Now the behavior of the Western regimes towards their own dissenters like Manning and Snowden (the real dissenters) not those profit-minded so-called "Muslim dissenters".

So Banerjee is equating a person who dissents away from Islam with Snowden who revealed the secrets of his country to enemies. Where did he go wrong? Either intentinally or unintentionally he failed to differentiate a traitor a dissenter. Mr Banerjee should know that traitors, apostates, and dissenters are three different breeds. But I am sure that Banerjee knows the difference but he thought that he can get away with bending the truth a bit here and there.

There are many other errors in Mr Banerjee's message but I am short of time.
