Reader comment on item: Is Turkey in Europe?

Mr. Pipes, do you think Bulgaria should have been allowed into the EU (given the present issues with corruption, oligarchies, and a general undemocratic culture).

Should Albania be allowed into the EU? They have submitted an application and no one can dispute their europeanness (nor that of the Bosniaks). I don't think Turkey is suitable to join the EU either, but I don't use religion or culture as a grounds for justifying that.
