Daniel, I am guessing that you have come across "The Lost Crusade: America in Vietnam" by Chester L. Cooper. I ask that you take a look at the pages, and the material referenced to, on them, that FDR shows up.

Assad, and those who line up with him, vs. the jihadists, don't have to exhaust themselves before the rest of the Syrians are backed.

For there are Syrians who view Nonie Darwish, and other dissidents in Araby, in a positive light.
