Republican not = conservative

Reader comment on item: What Is the Future of Conservatism in the Wake of the 2012 Election?

Submitted by Yosi Derman (Canada), Feb 28, 2013 at 14:21

Many Republicans just go along just to get along, have no real principles to differentiate themselves from Democrats. John McCain's a flagrant example: he spends so much time reaching across the aisle that he requires a chiropractor on staff. Most of the Democratic positions (never mind personne) are so destructive of America that they should be fought on principle. A "Republican" victory, therefore, is not necessarily a win for conservatism.

The foregoing notwithstanding, I appreciate very much your work.
