The morals of Turkey are not the values of the West

Reader comment on item: Is Turkey Leaving the West?

Submitted by Phil Greend (Canada), Feb 14, 2013 at 18:42

"The EU Criteria demands democracy, human rights and gender equality from Turkey."

Well all of those things are against the koran, islam, prophet muhammad, allah and the teachings of every mosque.

Turkey follows islam, not our Western values and morals.

I do not care if they are a different race, culture, colour or religion. I care that the government follows a cult. ... Maybe Turkey could at some time be allowed to join the E.U.

This should only occur after Turkey admits fully to the Genocide of Armenians, totally respects the right of Jewish Israel to exist , gives women rights and does not request that muslims of Turkey flood the rest of Europe.

Sadly now in 2013 Russia and more so China, has the same human rights record as all of the islamic nations ie. horrible.
