Reader comment on item: Is Turkey Leaving the West?

Submitted by Gurkan Gurkas (United Kingdom), Feb 7, 2013 at 03:43

Turkey could not get from the EU and the Middle East what he expected. So, it is obvious that Turkey's President's speech was not just a slip of the tongue or coincidence. If we look at the agreement which Turkey has signed with Azerbaijan, Mongolia and Kyrgyzstan in order to create a allied army forces, it would give an idea that Turkey tries to strengthen their diplomatic and strategic relations with the the Shanghai Cooperation Organization's members in stead of the EU and the USA.
