Erdogan Was Using EU

Pipes is right on target. I would like to point out the irony and EU's folly. Erdogan has cleverly used EU's democratic entry conditions internally to gain power, decimate the military, reverse secularism, and install an autocratic Islamic state.

And now, naturally, he is turning east to consolidate the autocracy and his grip on power.
