While I agree with the first part of the statement, I do not with the second part.

This strike while important in the "War on Terror", is 9 years too late to be effective. In the last 9 years, militant Islam has metasticised (sp?) all over the world, to such an extent, that bin Laden was no longer important to their effort. Even in Al Qaeda, he was more a figurehead. AQ in Iraq, and elsewhere do what they please.

To me, it's more of a Hydra, 1 head was cut off, but others will (and have) sprout in its place
