Unfortunately, contrary to your expectaion, turkey's economy is thriving since they started discovering their roots. It's non-oil economy has been growing steadily. People vote them partly because of the stability and prosperity they brought. They do not want to go back to Ataturk period when Turks were treated as slaves. They are going to win another election thanks to democracy now turks are enjoying compared to previous era. There isn't much for you to cheer sadly.
