Disrespectful and ill conceived comments

Anon,

I am gratified to hear that you allow yourself to stand apart from the democrat anti-israel policies and recognize the democratic and humanitarian nature of Israel. In this political climate, Israel supporters have no choice but to join the republican camp, where they have more in common with their values and goals.

I recently quit my synagogue when the Rabbi sent around outrageously anti-Israel screeds about the Goldstone report. When I complained that I go to synagogue for a respite from anti-Israel opinions, he replied (and copied the congregation) that Jews seek justice and truth and have to examine all sides of an issue. This is what I can expect from Liberal Jews.

I told him I would rather join an evangelical church where their support for Israel is REAL, monetary and unbending. And so I will say to you that you should not disrespect others' beliefs. If they want to believe what you consider a fairy tale, who are you to criticize? Especially when their intentions are supportive of Israel which you claim to support. Think about that.
